Ultra - Minimal - Ballet / Jessie and Morgiana

This is the story of two sisters - the ugly, bitter and hateful Morgiana and her beautiful and admired sister Jessie. Morgiana's awareness of her own ugliness and inferiority turns into envy. She doesn't resist it, on the contrary, she feeds it within herself, asserting her right to intervene in a life that makes her wretchedness stand out even more. And so bitterness and hatred gradually turn into a disease... and they don't stop her from committing crimes...

Although we label this performance as dance theatre ( horror ), it is more of a synthetic theatre. Even though, its dominant component remains modern expressive ballet with all its attributes - dancing on "tiptoe", combination of classical dance techniques with modern techniques..- all this in a form typical for UMB (minimal space, number of dancers, minimal music...).

Another component is, of course, the collaboration with the young artist Gabriela Vermelho - singer, actress, composer and quintet player, who narrates the entire performance...

As it is clear from everything written above, our intention is to present an unrealistic performance, full of alienating elements, exposing theatrical practices...ballet, singing, emotions ...within the reach of the audience.
