Performance at the National Museum

At the invitation of a philosopher Václav Němec A choreography was created for a short dance performance as part of the association’s happening Kaputin in The National Museum in Prague.

Václav Němec introduced Alena Pešková to the other members of the initiative, with whom she subsequently prepared the dance element of the event. Her dance partner was David Pesek Dvořák.

The performance took place on 30 March 2026 on the central staircase of the National Museum as part of a happening organised by the Kaputin association. The event was a protest against the declaration of 30 March as Czech Flag Day and the associated call for Czech flags to be flown across the country. The dance intervention, by contrast, served as a reminder that, alongside national symbols, there is also a place for solidarity with Ukraine, whose flag became the central symbol of the entire happening.
