What awaits you after the summer? What will be the next season ?

"Very , very soon after the summer we will have a gala premiere of the Gustav Klimt Dance Theatre in Liberec - which is being created on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the theatre's foundation. Gustav Klimt is another important personality who has "touched" this theatre, right through the curtain. Together with his "cronies" he "painted" it beautifully. Not yet with his typical hand, but it's him - "The Triumph of Love". In summer, tourists from all over the world come to Liberec to take pictures of the "Klimtovka". It will always be on display as part of the prologue of our performance. Monika Načeva and Tomáš Vtípil are currently writing the music, but we will also hear Alban Berg, Gustav Mahler and Ludwig van Beethoven. My brother Richard Pešek Jr. is working on the stage again. It's a bit of a challenge. What do you want to do next to Klimt?...sometimes it's deliberately counterpoint to him...sometimes with harmony to him.... But I don't see the whole thing as a documentary either. It's more my idea of Klimt's imagination...much pre-mortem confused...his women , dreams, fears..."

Gustav Klimt - another great world personality who "touched" our theatre - right through the curtain, although not yet with his typical hand - and to whom the Liberec Ballet wants to pay tribute. We will not describe Klimt's life here, nor will we evaluate his work. In front of the curtain and behind the curtain, Klimt will stand as our idea of the motives, reasons and causes of such a life and work. Klimt as a saint and as a brutal barbarian. Klimt shy, vulnerable, and Klimt aggressive... in relation to himself, his surroundings and... women. Klimt who needs external order to control his inner chaos... And how can all this be captured almost without words? Like a Klimt painting, like an "Art Nouveau ballet": in the foreground, a civil expression in an ethereal form, in the background an ornament, inside a great ideal, and a divine beauty bordering on kitsch...
